Despite Stormy Skies, FestiFair Delivers

Andrea Daily, Marysville resident for 15 years,
and her giant Ribbon Box cookie!
There was no doubt that the sticky humidity, the feverish wind, and the enraged storm made it seem that FestiFair could be destined for doom this past Saturday. Not surprisingly Uptown Marysville did not succumb to Mother Nature and pulled through with a fantastic 36th annual FestiFair.

There were over 140 vendors and each had their own unique and special niche on display. The amount of community members that were exploring each tent with smiles and vigor were enough to scare any bad weather away until closing.

Fall made its presence known as it was hard to find someone who wasn’t carrying one of these giant and scrumptious cookies from the Ribbon Box.

You couldn’t look anywhere without knowing what state you were in either. Tis’ the season for The Buckeyes!

And if these home-crafted pumpkins don’t get you in the fall spirit than I don’t know what will! With the hurriedness of our culture I think we often forget to slow down and appreciate how important art is in our lives. Art brings people together, provides a blank slate for our minds, and opens our eyes to the possibilities of creativity. Thank you, FestiFair and Uptown Marysville, for slowing down and offering a venue for the communion of neighbors among arts and crafts.

Marysville is Buckeye Country! O-H...

A play on Edvard Munch's "The Scream" - this piece shows the wolverine's worst fear!

A sign of the times: Happy Fall, Y'all!
Note: FestiFair is conducted annually by the Historic Marysville Business District Association. Proceeds from the event assist with conducting Scarysville (October 29th) and Uptown Christmas Walk (November 28th).
